2-Year Results of Myopic Epikeratoplasty

Abstract
|
|
|
Myopic Epikeratoplasty is a safe and reversible technique that can lead to large refractive corrections. However, it is also claimed that long-term stability and predictablity are not satisfactroy due to the refractive regression. We have
analysed
20
cases for 2 years. Eight cases (40%) were found to be corrected within + 3D 2 years after operation. We have found that better results achieved when refractive correction is good at post op. 6 months, pre op. Myopia is low, and refractive
regressions
are small between 6 and 24 months. Our investigation also showed that relations between the op. Results and sex, age, and pre op. Keratometry are not significant.
